On July 9, 2009, Semantic Seed and SSV Network co-hosted an event with featured speakers Naeem Zafar (Concordia Ventures) and Jay Elliot (RocketStream). Each presented pivotal insight and compelling examples, useful for entrepreneurs and their colleagues. Naeem’s talk was entitled 7-Steps to a Successful Startup and Jay’s talk drew much from his varied experience. SSVN would like also to acknowledge Adobe for providing a great room for the event and Blue Monitor for recording and posting videos of the talks.

On December 9, 2008, SSV Network colleague Patrick Berbon and I attended a 2008 China-US IT Forum event in Silicon Valley for information-technology corporate leaders and government officials from Wuhan, China.
As a panelist, I contributed thoughts about information-technology marketplace opportunities and challenges for enterprises and governments.
One attendee from Silicon Valley introduced himself to me and mentioned he is a member of one of the SSVN Meetup-hosted communities. Patrick and I met people who may add to the overall SSV Network community.
I appreciate event-organizer Henry Chen’s making this possible.
